several benefits to the individual participants and recognized WTF
school members of the ATA and Taekwondo Canada within the
jurisdiction of the Province of Alberta.

- Access to Taekwondo Canada's programs, services, competitions and events The annual membership registration process for the ATA will now be administered via Taekwondo Canada's National Online Database (beginning 2012) to streamline membership management and ensure that every taekwondo participant and school in Alberta has access to one affordable and complete insurance. Furthermore, the online system will provide the ATA with the ability to accurately and easily report its membership demographics to Sport Alberta and Taekwondo Canada.
Taekwondo Canada is the sole governing body of WTF Taekwondo in
Canada and is recognized by the World Taekwondo Federation, Sport
Canada and the Canadian Olympic Committee. Taekwondo Canada
recognizes the Alberta Taekwondo Association as the sole WTF
Taekwondo governing body in the Province of Alberta.

January 3, 2012 Taekwondo Canada has posted rule interpretations and amendments which will be applied at the 2012 World Junior Championships and Summer Olympics. Athletes, coaches and referees are encouraged to become familiar with these rules prior to the 2012 Junior National Championships and Senior Olympic Team Trials. December 21, 2011 2011 - 2012 Alberta Taekwondo Association Membership List December 8, 2011 Taekwondo Canada Announcement regarding Article 1.6 of the 2012 Olympic Selection Criteria December 5, 2011 Taekwondo Canada Seeking Volunteers for the 2012 Junior National Championships and Senior Olympic Team Trials December 5, 2011 ALBERTA TEAM FUNDING 1) In order to be eligible for funding for competing at the 2012 Junior or Senior Nationals, Alberta athletes must participate on a regular basis in the Alberta Team Training, as posted on the ATA web site. 2) Team Funding will be based on a percentage of the NET profit (direct income less direct expenses) from the1st Alberta Open tournament. 3) The Alberta Team can consist of Junior A and Senior Athletes, Coaches and other Team Officials. 4) Amount of funding will be Results based. Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medalists will be funded if they COMPETE and WIN at least ONE Match. 5) Other funding for Coaches, team officials and other members of Team Alberta will be determined AFTER the financial status of the tournament has been determined and the funds have been allocated to the Junior A and Senior Athletes.
