Alberta Athlete Wins Bronze at the World University Championships
Congratulations to Magdalena Szczotka, who won a bronze medal at the World University Championships (held July, 2008 in Serbia) in the Heavyweight division.  Full results can be found here.

Congratulations to Jessica Johnson, who won the Featherweight National Title at Team Trials this past weekend in Ottawa!  Jessica will now represent Canada at the Pan Am Championships in Puerto Rico in October.  Congratulations as well to Master Cha, Cecilia Lee, Kevin Mejia, Magdalena Szczotka and Marcela Szczotka who each placed 2nd in their division.
