There will be additional Team Alberta Poomsae training as follows:
  1. Sat, Jan 28 - 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Tiger Taekwondo
  2. Sat, Feb 4 - 1 to 5 p.m. at PMAA
  3. Sat, Feb 11 - 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at PMAA
  4. Sun, Feb 12 - Confirmed US Open Athletes Only - 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at PMAA
Athletes are asked to bring water bottles, healthy snacks, notebooks, pen, doboks/belt, and warm up track suit/hoodie.  Any questions, please don't hesitate to contact Master Sadler at 780-983-5424.

Taekwondo Canada has posted rule interpretations and amendments which will be applied at the 2012 World Junior Championships and Summer Olympics.  Athletes, coaches and referees are encouraged to become familiar with these rules prior to the 2012 Junior National Championships and Senior Olympic Team Trials.

The Alberta Taekwondo Association is now accepting applications for Sparring and Poomsae Coaches for the 2011/12 season.

Alberta Team Training Summer schedule: June 5th – July 24th, 2011


Alberta team training – Central location in Red Deer
At Master Rim’s Tae Kwon Do school: Highland Green Plaza, 88 Howarth Street Red Deer, AB
All Sunday training will follow this schedule:
· Morning training 10 – 12,
· Lunch: 12 – 1:30pm,
· Afternoon training: 1:30 – 3:30 p.m.

Sunday, June 5th 10 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Sunday, June 19th 10 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Sunday, July 10th 10 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Sunday, July 17th 10 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Sunday, July 24th 10 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Competitors are expected to bring and wear their complete sparring gear, including mouth guard, for each training session. In addition, competitors are asked to each bring two kicking targets, 'volleyball' knee pads (for injury prevention) and a notebook and pen.

Location: Red Phoenix Tae Kwon Do do-jang is located at #203, 2705 Centre Street N.W. in Calgary.

Saturday, June 4 – 12:15 – 1:30 p.m.
Saturday, June 11 – 12:15 – 1:30 p.m.
Saturday, June 18 – 12:15 – 1:30 p.m.
Saturday, June 25 – 12:15 – 1:30 p.m.
Saturday, July 9 – 12:15 – 1:30 p.m.
Saturday, July 16 – 12:15 – 1:30 p.m.
Saturday, July 23 – 12:15 – 1:30 p.m.

Please confirm your attendance at each of the training sessions. If fewer than 5 competitors have confirmed that they will attend, the Calgary training will be cancelled. Please email your attendance to Master Cha at mastercha@redpx.com by Thursday at 4pm before each Saturday's training.
